How does round-up work?

Gyve’s round-up feature involves the collection and donation of change gathered during debit card, credit card, and ACH purchases.

Every purchase made with a card attached to the round-up feature adjusts the purchase price to the nearest dollar. Then collects the difference for donation. Meaning, if a purchase total came to $3.12, the new total transaction amount reads $4.00. The $0.88 difference accumulates for later contribution. Once it accumulates to $20, Gyve makes the donation. To  YOU.

How much does round-up generate?

An average round-up donor generates $20 per month. That is $240 per year. A donor base as little as 300 people equal $72,000 in additional revenue per year. When viewing round-up revenue potential, account for families. Take a quarter of the church’s member base as actual giving units. For example, a 6,000 person church contains approximately 1,500 givers. This equals $30,000 a month in additional revenue. That’s $360,000 a year with full participation.

Round-up increases revenues

When rolled out correctly, the round-up tool increases the donation base and the donation amounts. The Gyve dashboard includes communication tools to help leaders encourage participants to join.
